Airbnb Social Impact Experience at the Detroit Downtown Boxing Gym

Airbnb launched Social Impact Experiences last November to encourage travelers to volunteer their time and energy, with all proceeds going to that organization. The Downtown Boxing Gym in Detroit is one such experience.

We were asked to create a documentary-style video to showcase the gym's 'Books Before Boxing' initiative. This after school program offers tutoring, lunch, and boxing lessons to at-risk youth. The incredible success of this program can be attested to its volunteers and Coach Kahli, the man who began this program after being an at-risk youth himself.

My role on this one day shoot was art direction and design, and editing.
